As president and chief executive officer of Fillmore Real Estate, New York City’s largest privately owned and operated residential and commercial real estate firm, John Reinhardt has elevated the company’s profile from a regional to a more national level.

Having begun his own professional career at Fillmore, back in 1978, he is intimately invested in the firm’s success, as well as that of the agents he oversees and the buyers and sellers that entrust Fillmore with their real estate needs. John’s strategic leadership has propelled the company from 125 agents in 1993, when he was first named president, to a formidable firm with a talented pool of more than 300 agents and counting in Brooklyn.

John is constantly refining the practices that enable Fillmore to maintain its standing as one of the country’s most respected brokerage firms. Embracing social media vehicles -- such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and You Tube -- and new technology are top priorities under John’s guidance, as he fervently believes in their ability to connect the firm with its peers, as well as prospective buyers and sellers. Most importantly, Fillmore benefits from the collaborative nature of the social media realm by sharing and taking in market knowledge on a broader basis and by comparing statistics with other brokerages nationwide.

John has overseen a number of company milestones that are keeping Fillmore perfectly poised to take advantage of the market’s impending turnaround. For instance, the firm recently expanded into the representation of affordable housing developments, serving as the exclusive sales agent for properties such as MeadowWood at Gateway, Brooklyn’s largest such development to date, and Lafayette Estates, an affordable co-op development in the Soundview section of The Bronx. The company also has its share of luxury condominium assignments and has been tapped to exclusively represent high-end properties throughout the city.

John is frequently relied on as an expert by the media and is regularly quoted in industry trade publications, along with being a sought-after speaker within the real estate community. A graduate of St. John’s University, John resides in Brooklyn with his wife, son, and two young daughters.

Community

Fillmore Real Estate is deeply involved in the community. The company regularly contributes to a variety of organizations including the Flatlands Volunteer Ambulance & First Aid Corps and Deborah Hospital. It is a sponsor of a youth basketball team and was recently a sponsor of a run-walk race that benefited the New York Branch of The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Additionally, Fillmore is deeply involved with Breast Cancer and the American Society. Over the last 5 years, Fillmore has hosted a Breast Cancer Research fundraiser, with 2012's event raising over $20,000 for cancer research.
